Statement
I am primarily an abstract painter and mixed media artist known for my bright use of color and interesting textures that create a lot of movement to any surface I choose to work on such as canvas, wood panel and paper. I offten use nature as inspiration with its variety of colors, textures and energy that can reflect an array of human emotions while being in and amongst the microcosm of our natural environments. I have been greatly influenced by many abstract women artists such as Helen Frankethaler and Joan Mitchell in addition to Georgia O'Keefe whose landscapes and magnified flowers attracted me to the possibilities of personal interpretation. I seek out nature for balance, inspiraition, and a certain amount of strength to continue along my life's path.
